We are sacrificing our children on the altar of the Second Amendment

As far as I can tell, America is sacrificing its children on the altar of the Second Amendment. That seems to be okay with our politicians and the NRA, which is basically the lobbying arm of the gun industry. It is NOT okay with me, and we need to take action to see that incidents like the one in Connecticut (and Oregon, and Colorado . . . .) become harder to commit and rarer to happen. Have we lost our will or our minds?

And speaking of losing our minds, folks like Mike Huckabee who said "We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we have systematically removed God from our schools . . . ." are know-nothing vultures who are trying to leverage this horrible tragedy into a theocratic platform. Using the deaths of the children to make such a vile and senseless point is reprehensible.

To put it another way, this man and those who parrot his words are repugnant, asinine jackasses.
