Anne and Pete Sibley played in concert at Little River Inn this evening, and what a glorious night of music it was. Their bluegrass picking and gorgeous harmonies held a packed room in their thrall, and their songs painted pictures of love, family, and nature that affirmed life and all its facets. Besides being great performers, they were warm and friendly people, chatting easily with audience members who were moved by their tunes.
They are out touring the country in their minivan with their two young children, having made a decision to follow their dreams and share their music. Pete encouraged the audience to "say 'yes' to yourself", and the message found a receptive group in Abalone Hall tonight. If they are examples of the results of such actions, it speaks volumes about how positive a move that could be.
