One of the joys of composting is to see what comes up voluntarily in the mix. I now present to you the cash crop of Afghanistan, appearing as if by magic in our compost pile:
That's right; opium poppies. Fortunately, my wife and I are in recovery, so we can enjoy the beauty without the mess.
