Nature Drama

Where I live, you never know what you'll run into in your own backyard. It was such a beautiful day, I took a walk, taking some photos of our flowers and the gorgeous surroundings we live in. Suddenly, some quail nearby started running around and raising a ruckus. It seemed like a lot of racket to raise over me walking around. Then I looked over and saw the true reason they were so disturbed . . . .
This is the same fox I posted pictures of previously when he came up on our deck and stared in our sliding glass doors.
He checked me out, even walking out into the open and staring me down. He seemed quite unafraid, or at least not very sure what to make of me.
Then he got perturbed since I wasn't getting out of the way of him and his prey, and he left. Last night my wife saw him out of our bedroom doors after hearing a bit of a racket, and a very large raccoon stormed off while she was watching him. She apparently disturbed their grudge match.

Who needs the Discovery Channel when you live in the midst of such creature features?
