Life goes on for some of us:

I've been posting quite sporadically lately, but I refuse to feel too guilty about it. Work is at a fever pitch at the music festival I work for, as the thing starts next month. The office atmosphere is one of constant activity, and every day seems to bring a new crisis . . . er, I mean CHALLENGE!

Some of the things that the blogosphere is going on about holds only a peripheral interest for me. I never really got into The Sopranos, though I've seen a couple of the earlier episodes, so the climax was really not all that fascinating to me. Paris Hilton's tribulations and trial also leave me fairly ambivalent, though I will say that unlike some I feel prison is not a place for someone who apparently has a bit of a substance abuse problem.

The war in Iraq drags on, while the members of our ineffectual government natter back and forth about what to do, and people die, almost without anyone taking notice. George Bush is still our fucking president, and that can get my blood pressure up just thinking about it.

And life does go on, at least for some of us. It's a real truism that no one gets outta this life alive, so I guess that occasional blogging and ruminations on things that matter to me, how ever briefly, are part of the trip.

And what's on YOUR mind?
