I'll been very lax in my blogging lately. What can I say, in a world where George Bush seems more batshit crazy every day and the so-called opposition party can't come up with enough balls to stop him---well, who knows what the future may hold?I'm liking the new Nine Inch Nails and Linkin Park CDs, both of which have decidedly overt anti-Bush viewpoints. (Linkin Park's "Minutes to Midnight" was surprisingly political, something their previous efforts eschewed for the most part.). I enjoy a good laugh on "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" now and again. And iI am busy as hell at work gearing up for the music festival I work for.
I saw my grand daughter last weekend, and that was a wondrous affirmation of just how wonderful life can be. She just turned four, and I made the trek to help celebrate her birthday. She is such a joy, and she gives me hope for the future, and a real desire to see things change for the better. This is what life is all about, I guess. Combining the sweet with the bitter, finding the good in the challenges, feeding the hope and starving the fear. I don't know if the balance of all this is always equal, but it is what it is.
