Hometown Baghdad

(Via Hometown Baghdad)

After John McCain's ludicrous staged "stroll" through a market in Baghdad, I was amazed to find a site called Hometown Baghdad. It is a site featuring short films produced by and starring young Iraqis, and yet it is aimed at an English speaking (read: American) audience. They are doing their best to get their story out, and to let the world know just what they are going through.
[From the web site] The brave Iraqi subjects and crew risked their lives every time they turned on a camera to make this series. They want to show the world what life is like when your hometown is a war-zone.

This is what reality for these people is truly like. McCain and the other sorry apologists for the Bush policies ought to go through what these folks are going through.

Go check out the site. There is a wealth of information there about the human cost of this tragically stupid and needless war.
