Takin' a Hiatus for the Holidays

I'm going to be out of town for the next five days, driving up to see the grand daughter and her Mommy. I hope you all (whomever may be reading this thing) have a happy holiday!

It's funny---I was at a holiday party with a bunch of friends, and everyone was singing Christmas carols, and I finally jumped up and said, "We need a Hanukkah song!" I launched into "O, Hanukkah", and now most of those people think I'm Jewish! And me, just a recovering goy . . . .

Seriously, remember at this time of year that not everyone celebrates Christmas. Be they Jew, Muslim, Buddhist or godless heathen, they deserve to be honored in their own way, and for most that might be to have their beliefs respected as much as you want yours to be.

Happy Festivus to all. Unless I find one of those cyber cafes, you're on your own until next week!
