Some photos of the aftermath of the 16 Complex Fire from a recent trip to Redding

The effects of the drought we are experiencing in Northern California are evident in these shots I took on Route 20 east of Clear Lake. These show the aftermath of the 16 Complex Fire, which damaged thosands of acres in Lake and Colusa Counties.

In this photo you can see one side of the road virtually untouched,
while the other is nothing but wasteland.
This went on for miles in several spots. It was a sobering example of how much can be destroyed in a short amount of time. This happened just a little over a month ago.
