During the sparse posting phase I've been going through, I had some rather tragic news; the ducks I had been doing a lot of the caring for at my boss' house were killed by a predator about a month ago. From the looks of things, it was probably a fox, who got in one night and picked them off one at a time.
I was very sad to learn this. These were sweet animals that I had really come to love. The picture below is one of the last of them, taken as I left for the day before the night they were killed.
I do miss them. I never knew ducks could be such winning creatures. Nature is not a sentimental thing, but I am.

Sorry to hear about your duckies. I just had to stop in and tell you that the quote on your home page nearly knocked me over. "Having anger at someone is like taking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die." That is SO powerful and transforming. Thanks for sharing that with all of us.
