How dry is it?

This is a picture of the pond on our property, although the only way you'd know it is by the water lilies you can see, high and dry, at the bottom of the picture. It has been a dry summer to say the least. There is a tiny bit of water at the lower end of the pond, but I have no idea if the frogs and fish that have flourished in this erstwhile body of water are going to make it this year. The nights, which usually are full of frog songs, have been pretty quiet lately. Hopefully, the rainy season will  come with the winter, and we'll see this dry hole full of aqua again!
