
In the last hour we've felt a couple of temblors here at the birdhaus, one around 10:15 and one a bit after 11:00. According to the USGS site, the first one measured about a 3.4 on the Richter scale, and the second was about a 3.3. They rattled our sliding glass doors, shook the floor, and made the birds a little nervous.
It's sort of exciting/scary to feel these events. The epicenter is about an hour or so away from us, so it seems relatively minor, but it still shakes you up a bit (pun definitely intended.) We've see if there is any other activity tonight.
