Unfair and unbalanced

I am a registered Democrat, but more and more I find myself at odds with their stategy of not taking the Republicans on, or sounding like Republicans if they think it will get the vote for them. Which, by the way, just doesn't seem to bear out. Truman said that given the choice between voting for a Republican or a Democrat who sounds like a Republican, the people will vote for the Republican every time.

None the less, it is amazing to me, after living through all the years of media attention to Bill Clinton's indiscretion (which had nothing to do with governance), as more and more stuff comes out concerning Abrahamoff, Delay, Goss, Rove, and the other monkeys who are in power, the media seems to be bending over backwards either to downplay it, or to say falsely that it is both sides involved.

It should be stated loudly and often that Democrats never got ONE DIME from Jack Abrahamoff. This is an indisputable fact. Karl Rove was involved in exposing a covert CIA operative, and no amount of whitewashing will change that fact. And Delay . . . well, the bug man is a liar and a crook.

Yet, the main stream media seems content to parrot the spin put out by the Republicans as if it is the gospel from on high. I expect that from administration shills like FOX News, but why does the New York Times and the Washington Post feel compelled to spew out the claptrap BushCo sends them so uncritically? Where is the so-called liberal media when we really need them?

This is the most corrupt, truth-challenged administration since Nixon's, and the media didn't seem to give that crew of crooks such a free ride. The media has truly become nothing more than a mouthpiece for corporate America's vile agenda, and objectivity now seems to be putting out both sides of the story, as Stephen Colbert so aptly put it: the President's, and the Vice-President's.

Instead of getting a blow job, BushCo is fucking the whole country, and I guess the media is just fine with that. What a frigging joke.

You know, as long as the Repubs have control of the house and congress, and apparently the media we are never going to get anywhere. I hope that in the upcoming elections we can at least take back some of the seats.
