In occurs to me . . .

Ya know, it occurs to me that, for the amount of effort and energy it takes, spam emails can't be all that effective. Everyone complains about them, and there are more and more ways to filter these electronic pieces of crap out of our In boxes. So why do the spammers still do it? Is somebody out there really dumb enough to answer this kind of thing (an actual piece of spam I got):

"We guarantees"??? Hell, if someone can't use the proper tense for the verbs in their spam communiques, what kind of a watch can they make?

Seriously, why do these kinds of emails continue to proliferate? Are enough semi-literate suckers just getting around to buying computers to make this worth someone's while?

I'm just askin' . . . .

And another thought: I got a spam mail offering to sell me viagra in soft capsules. Just how good is the viagra if the capsules are still soft?
